Sponsoring the Philadelphia Flyers Powerplay assists our non-profit organization in providing a safe, fun, and competitive environment for the disability community, specifically power wheelchair users.
Invest in our organization and show your commitment to acceptance, inclusivity, and accessibility. Act now and see the positive difference your sponsorship can make!
Your generosity supports our team in building camaraderie, fostering independence, and community engagement. Our players are able to develop leadership and communication skills, establish mentoring opportunities, gain confidence, learn from their mistakes, and become dedicated to something beyond themselves.
Being part of the Flyers PowerPlay offers fellowship and support, not just to players, but also families. Parents share disability resources and services to overcome the daily challenges of having a family member with a disability. Surrounded by people who “get it”, we create an environment that transcends the game itself. Our tight-knit family champions collaboration, understanding, and encouragement for all involved.
As a sponsor, you will benefit from brand recognition in the disability community. Your business has the opportunity to receive acknowledgment on Flyers PowerPlay social media accounts, your logo featured on the team website and monthly e-newsletter, as well as signage prominently displayed at all games. Partnering with the Flyers PowerPlay will drive traffic to your website and increase brand awareness, while creating a new customer base.
We rely on the contributions of others to make Powerhockey available to all power wheelchair users. Your sponsorship helps pay for specialized equipment, referees to enforce the rules, insurance to protect the organization, and venue rental fees that allow our players to have a place to come together and play the sport we love. You can also fund player registration fees to lessen the financial burden on our players and families.
Sponsor the Philadelphia Flyers PowerPlay today and help us reach our goal!
“I’ve grown as a leader and a mentor, been put in positions to succeed, and have been given opportunities to learn from my failures. It’s challenged me to make decisions under pressure and to work with others to solve problems, both in the game and in managerial positions. It has empowered me with the confidence to be an active member of society as a person with a disability, providing me with a platform to exercise independence.”
“At hockey, Nate has gotten the opportunity to meet this whole group of fellow power wheelchair-users. Now he has all these new friends and positive role models that share some of his unique life experiences. The other players have embraced Nate, even though he’s young and learning. They make it a point to mentor him, teach him the rules, guide him on what to do, and encourage him. It is such a welcoming, supportive, positive experience, full of camaraderie.”
“Being a part of this team is so meaningful. On the floor, it’s been a necessary competitive outlet. It’s hard to find places to play intense, competitive sports in a power wheelchair. Off the court, I’ve made lifelong friends who have become family to me. Powerhockey has helped me to become a leader. The skills, teamwork and confidence that I have developed has been so important throughout high school, college, and now as an adult in the workforce.”
“I believe my son’s participation with the powerplay team has been priceless. This team has not only been a recreational outlet it has been a valued source of support, love and information. As a parent, being able to talk with other parents for support is also priceless. I have learned so much talking to other parents about resources, equipment, doctors, travel, etc…let alone the emotional support received from other parents.”
“Being a part of the PowerPlay family has been one of the big blessings of my life. I not only found a place where I can be competitive and active, I found a family where I can fit in being myself. I can usually forget about my worries and problems when I’m playing on the court with my fellow friends. We go all out and try not to hold back while having fun like one big family.”
