Richard Weaver Unsung Hero Award

The Richard Weaver Unsung Hero Award is named in honor of Richard Weaver, who was the Advisory Board President, former coach and wheelchair hockey ambassador. Richard sadly passed away in February 2016 but his many contributions and talents will never be forgotten. Today, we honor that legacy by naming a player each year who best exemplifies what Richard stood for.

The Unsung Hero Award is a player who is supportive and shows integrity while making a subtle impact both on and off the court. Every team has a certain player who plays to the best of their ability no matter what. Often overlooked or unsung by others, their teammates truly realize the impact this player has on their team.
